I took a class that taught a little about a few religions. Islmam was the main one. We had a guy come from the local Masqu and talk with us every day for 3 weeks. IT was a eye openeing time.

After the 3 weeks i walked away with a deep respect for the religion. What you see in the news is just a small percantage of how most who fallow it are.

I just wish i could remember it all. we went over a LOT of information (even watched a movie on it!) in the time. But it is something to study if you are interested.

I have always been intrigued by diffrent religions. I have tried to to talk with someone (priest/father.rabbie etc) from each one. I still have yet to talk to a Jewish leader. Not many of them in the farming area i live heh.

anway as i said the Islamic religion is actually pretty good. worht the time to read the Quran (yeah mispelled it i think) and try to understand the teaching and history. its pretty amazing.

That's not the only thing you misspelled...

Percantage?

Masqu?

Fallow?

Rabbie?

Worht? (I'll give you that one as a typo)

Christ you even misspelled misspelled!

you cite this yet i read that with absoutly no issues whatsoever, and didnt even notice that any words were missspelled

i think people that get hung up on misspelled words just lack the mental power to figure out what it ment and move on

Multiple misspellings and non-edited typos make one look like an un-credible buffoon. A misspelling here or there in an otherwise well written piece is forgivable though.

Well, if they don't mind looking stupid then so be it. Why does it bother you that some of us chose to correct the stupid?

I seldom get ripped because I actually know how to spell.
The folks that get ripped are the ones that butcher the english language with willful disdain.
"OMGWTF, Wut r u takling abowt?"
That sort of stuff has the same effect on me as someone dragging their fingernails across the chalkboard.

Its not the corrections that bother me the most, they dont really. Some are well intentioned. Especially with hard to spell words. But those who flame others because of spelling are idiots. Especially when they do it just to malicious.

Anyone ever get that email where nearly everything was spelled wrong but it was still easily understandable. The point was that our brains dont even really process the middle letters of easily recognizable words. Anyways, my other issue is that these same people dont even speak english half the time. How in your right mind do you justify spelling errors when you yourself are a L33t haxor. I mean what the %$#@??? Never should anyone have to apologize for a few spelling errors, especially when they are just trying to be helpful. The worst is when people just harp on somone's poor spelling because they dont agree with their statements, just to flame them. Its like "OMG Learn to spell NOOB!" Anyways Im done, thanks.

Spelling/Grammar mistakes are all bolded for you.

Lol, "the devil is in the details", my friend. Would you be unconcerned about an engineer who ignores misplaced decimal points? I mean, it's OBVIOUS that you want 20.0 gallons of gas and not 200 per vehicle, so why bother to write it correctly? Are you saying I don't have the mental power to figure out what they meant?

Basically, people who misspell are either stupid OR don't spend the time to spell correctly. If they're stupid, I shouldn't give too much credence to what they are saying. If they don't spend the time to spell correctly, then how do I know they spent the time to make their post worth reading? That said, I'm usually not a spelling Nazi...this IS just an online forum, after all, and I make mistakes when I type quickly too...but it scares me when I realize that some people honestly CAN'T spell correctly. If you need a dictionary or Word to do your spellchecking, then something's wrong.

You guys are frickin rediculous. OF COURSE SPELLING AND GRAMMAR MATTERS. That is not the issue. The issue is that it doesnt really matter on message boards. Obviously there are examples where it does. Obviously sometimes it hampers understanding. But if it doesnt, then it shouldnt be pointed out, and sometimes when people do its really really annoying. I have friend who is rediculously smart, and he cant spell for shit. Well hes not that bad but sometimes he is...anyways...for the record I am not good with my right pinky so I dont really care to put in apostrophes. Is that an issue for you? GO SEEK HELP
