When you grow up with things like a medical clinic TWO BLOCKS from your house that is a free clinic that treats almost everything that a hospital emergency room does -and refuses treatment to anyone not hispanic, making you drive 14 miles to the nearest emergency care center, seeing a website devoted to hispanics kinda makes ya sick and brings about the same feelings that the Virginia Garcia Clinic does.

I see your point.
Being "white" myself, I only posted the link as a demonstration that the Hispanic community at large appears to be against this ban. Interesting how "PC" has evolved, isn't it? The very people who it is supposed to "protect" are quite often the ones who are the most against it.
As for this clinic, they are quite obviously just as racist, IMHO, as a whites-only country club.

Well, there aren't any of those around here. Everything is done around here either in English and Spanish, or only in Spanish. I humbled myself went to the unemployment department yesterday, per losing my job, and was thoroughly disgusted.

It's amazing, as you said, to see how hard the world works to defend the rights of illegal aliens (TONS of them around here), then gets on peoples' cases for speaking out against it.

I never thought of it that way! That's kinda funny. Of course, some moron will probably go, "OMG, that's true!" and try to get it banned now.

As for Speedy, I thought he was kind of annoying anyway, but this pretty much goes to show how stupid some people are. I don't believe that even in the mind of a child, there would be a correlation between a cartoon mouse and the living, breathing mexican people.
 
I came into this thread thinking there was someone on AT named SpeedyGonzales, and that he had been banned for racial slurs or something... I think that a cartoon (for kids mind you... not family guy) not being PC enough to be on the air is kinda funny though...

They said it was very popular in Latin America so I don't get it. This is really silly to ban these. They are classics which any child would find funny it's the adults which are ruining it for them like that Taco Bell icon they banned.
