Used prices for these (in good condition) are $325-$375 range. So $250 for one with a broken diffuser seems pretty good. You might be able to get a replacement diffuser, or just get a Gary Fong or some other kind of add-on diffuser.

I looked into Yongnuo and Neewer flash, and it turn out that they over rated their guide number. At best the Yongnuo and Neewer flash actual guide number are just slightly above the 430EX II Speedlite in TLL mode and match the Speedlite in manual mode, which is well short of manufacture rated guide number. Hence it make sense for me to get a used flash that give me a bit more power at roughly the same price as the Youngnuo.

I picked up the Speedlite an hour ago, and I disassembled and found out the only problem was the broken $16 diffusor lens. It will be an easy fix, but I will not be putting the weather seal striping back around the front fresnel lens because it is a pain in the arse to put it on the fresnel.

There are some cosmetic scuff and tape marks on the cover. I can replace the cover at the same time as the diffusor for around $65. But, I'm too cheap I will be replacing only the diffusor.

I have to agree that is a great price.

The Metz cycling time is faster than the 580EX, but it guide number is 13% lower power than the 430EX II, with 1/125 sec flash duration. For 1/2 that money I could get a Vivitar 285HV that deliver roughly the same amount of power as the 430EX II, with 1/1000s flash duration which would be great for fillflash at 1/250s (however, it is in manual mode).

A better choice at that price range for TLL II wireless slave/master would be a Sigma EF-610 DG Supper.
