speeding up Win2k(tweaks)

I've been tweaking my Win2k install and found that it is alot more responsive after applying some tweakage to it. I've done most of the tips on the following linkhttp://www.ars-technica.com/tweak/nt/index.html Specifically, the L2 cache, large system cache, disk I/O. Windows file Protection wouldn't let me fool with the subsystem files(OS2.exe.etc.)it kept changing them back😀 My system does seem snappier now, before it didn't quite feel like a PIII733 w/ 256mb ram.

The L2 cache value was listed as 0 in brackets like this(0)on my machine with a PIII coppermine. I changed it to 256,so it looks like this(256). It seems to me Win2k didn't get it right on my system.
