about a month ago i receievd a speeding ticket. i was told by the officer is i took traffic school that no points would be added to my record. i have yet to take traffic school but was planning on doing so this week. well tonight i just got another one...what i do not want to get is points on my record since i have none. does anyone know if there is some kind of limit on speeding tickets and not getting points associated with them?

Traffic school is only an option you have every certain amount of months, 18 I believe. I could be wrong, too lazy to really look it up. You are SOL unless you can contest the 2nd ticket. Stop speeding.

yeah, you are definitely going to get points for one of those tickets. Take the traffic school online though if you can, it's much easier than sitting in the courtoom for 6 hours listening to a police man talk.

You're kind of screwed. Even if you did take traffic school in a timely matter you would have nulled it by the second ticket. Find out if you live in an area where contesting the ticket in court really pays off, some places have their officers show up for court all the time, other places don't care too much, if there is no officer, you shouldn't have trouble with winning the case. Then hurry up and take online traffic school and stay clean for a year and a half.

you can remove 1 point per 18 months using traffic school. you just got a point on your record. also, there is a time limit for using school to remove the point, which it will say on the paper the court mails to you. also, the 18 months starts on the day you take traffic school, not the day you got your ticket. so your 18 months hasn't even started yet.

Yup, like the others said, you can only remove one of the tickets from your record by going to traffic school. Then you gotta wait 18 months before traffic school is any use to you again.

Yep, ONE of those tickets is going on your record...no getting out of it, unless you can some way, beat the ticket in court...ONE traffic school for ONE ticket per 18 months...

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket lately so I don't know if it's still the same but 3 years ago I went to court and requested to retake the traffic school twice in 18 months. Instead of 8 hours it was 12 and no points went on my record. I'm in California too BTW.

May I suggest you fight your latest ticket. My buddy did something called trial by declaration, where you send a letter to the judge, and he beat his ticket!
My sister got a speeding ticket, and I told her about trial by declaration, and she beat it!
YMMV
Or just fight your ticket and hope the cop doesn't show up, works sometimes.

Yes, but you'll USUALLY get a lesser fine than the automatic fine you get the notice for, so you still USUALLY save money.
