Speeding ticket question...

I got a speeding ticket back in February. Today I took the ticket down to a magistrate and she gave me a repremand after a guilty w/ explanation plea. The original ticket would have cost me $108 and I would get 2 demerits automatically. The lady took off the fine, but she charged me a $75 surcharge.

What exactly does it mean to get repremanded? She said that I may still get the demarits on my licence. She said the DMV decides if I get demerits or not.

Whats going on? I just smiled, said thanks and left.

Awesome!
I think the DMV just choose's if you get points on your record, which means your insurance goes up.

Anyway, you still got off better than you should have 🙂

How fast were u going in what speed zone?

80km/h in 60 @ 2:30 AM (no other cars around - cept the police)
or
49.71 mph in 37.28 mph zone.

What happened was, I turned off one side street onto a highway, sped up to 80, then coasted to my street (which was 2 blocks and about 15 seconds from the original side street). How unlucky can you get?
