Speedfan question

well considering that that's ~125 degrees Fahrenheit, I'm gonna bet it's the northbridge. If the CPU temp is lower, then I would definitely say it's the northbridge as the air cooler couldn't cool something colder than the ambient air around it. Also, if that is your case temp, you have a seriously hot case or the temp is wrong.

what does temp1 measure? northbridge or case? mine is a 52c now
Temp 1 is always your cpu socket temp, in SpeedFan. On some boards, Temp 2 is the northbridge, on others, Temp 3 is the northbridge; but Temp 1 is always the cpu socket.

I also have 2 #1's but the second one is nowhere near what Core Temp gives for core 0. Core temp on Speed fan agrees with core 1 on core temp.

#1 on my box is NB, #2 is CPU.

SPEEDFAN is so hit and miss it is unbelievable. If you can figure out what the temperatures are it works great.

It is really good for monitoring SCSI/SAS though.
