I listen to all my music in FLAC, also on my phone. So I might invest in a microSD card for extra storage. How much does read/write speed matters for that purpose?

Is a UHS-1/ Class 10 drive fine for that?

What are the average file sizes? You might need to make sure you use exFAT formatting depending on file size. Otherwise if you have a fairly modern smartphone and whatever required software I see no reason at all why a mSD card wouldn't be fine for FLAC. (And yes, Class 10 just fine.) But I do base this on other uses of mSD like playing large format video files, not audio.

FLAC is lossless compression so it's a given that it'll be smaller than the equivalent WAV file. The bitrate for WAV is 1411kbps which is 176 kilobytes per second.

You'll find that even cheapo microsd cards can muster at least that much.

It's mostly irrelevant.

uSD read/write speeds might be important for recording video.

More than fine for music. I use the same for 4K video even on 10 min+ clips, although my phone does buffer the excess.
