speed of mem for 2.4c

i really want to reach 3ghz with 2.4c. it seems with a 5/4 ratio simple
pc3200 ram will run easily within spec. surely no ram will run 1/1 ratio.
but should i buy pc3500 or pc3700 ram? for waht reason?
