Speech Recognition Question

Here is what I would like to do...

Take VHS tape and convert to digital (i know the hardware for this).. then extract the audio from it.. then run against speech recognition software to get a rough dialog of commentary.

I will proof read all text - I realize that it will not capture it perfectly.

Let me know your thoughts and if you have any recommendations they will be greatly appreciated.

If this is a commercial VHS it is probably closed captioned and I know the Hauppauge PVR-250 and 350 is capable of capturing video and the captions so that may be an easy way out. but if this VHS tape is not Closed captioned I don't know of any other way sorry

Ive just started to mess with speech recognition in windows.
What your trying to attempt would be impossible because you need to train the software to recognise your voice, a fairly long process, reading scripts to it for many hours, then it is only about 95% accurate
