And it's both sad and borderline delusional. AMD, specifically in Graphics, is still perceived as an also ran compared to nVidia .

Well until RDNA2 they basically were an also ran. The last time they really had a competitive high-end product was with Fury.

Vega didn't turn out and RDNA didn't even bother trying to aim that high.
 
Not unexpected, but still disappointed to only see flagships shown off

Not that unexpected to anyone who's been following things in the lead up. It's also nothing new for the top cards to launch first and for the mid-range and lower-end parts to come out several months later.
