this is completely wild speculation on my part, but it would make complete sense. i mean, you throw dual athlons in there, they suck down 4.2GBps of bandwidth. 760MP can't fill that, since it only has 2.1GBps of mem bandwidth. but nForce 420 does have 4.2GBps of bandwidth. assuming you use an external graphics card, much of that can be used for the processors. even robbing 500MBps for I/O operations (running a database, say) you'd still have plenty left for the palominos.

thoughts? opinions? flames? NFS4 hear of anything?
 
weren't there some power consumption issues w/ nForce? if so than adding another proc would mean needing like a 450W power supply at the minimum... not super practical...
