Spectacular Police Chase Ending.

Wow, that's incredibly impressive. I can't imagine what would have happened had the fan flipped over the median into the opposing lane of traffic that was not stopped. It seemed like the police had the pursuit lane of traffic stopped so I imagine risk there was lower.

Man, are they trained to do that? I've never seen anything like that even in a movie.

Depends on the department. On a highway patrol, they probably were. That is incredibly difficult.

really? I try to flip the car at the very least... that way she's more likely to be out cold...

The only thing better would have been if one of the suspects got hit by a car while crossing the freeway after jumping out of the van.

Nice driving. Other cruiser hitting the fleeing suspect would have been a major win for the police and a instant classic.

It also looks damned dangerous. For one thing, the folks in the sieged car could be armed with guns. OK, not likely and not likely they'd shoot cops anyway, but I have to think it's risking injury. Unless the cops car has shoulder harnesses and car strength similar to race cars!

Do you think the officer had to get permission to wreck his car or did he just do it?
they were probably ordered to stop the van asap. A PIT maneuver like that needs permission first.
