Well first off my disclaimer is that this is my first ever build and I'm a noob. This is primarly(spelling??) a gaming computer and I was working on a fairly meager budget for a gaming rig. I do plan on expirament with OCing

Case:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811156164 $20
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103535 $152
HDD:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148040 $59
MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136163 $95
DVDR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152047 $40
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440 $80
Vid Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130238 $315

All prices are what I paid for it at the time so the total came out to about ~$800 a little less I don't think its too bad for a first try and hopefully I will be able to find a nice LCD 17' for about $200 so the whole deal will cost me no more than $1000

Let me know what you think thanks! Any suggestion on a good cheap sound card would be helpful as well as a nice cheap 17" LCD

Spending a decent chunk of money on a good case and PSU is really needed.

I used to use cheapo cases and psus but as soon as you break out of that cycle you will never go back.

Temps go down, stability goes up and overall you're just that bit happier with your setup.

Spending ~$550 on mobo, CPU, and vid, but $20 on the thing to power those parts. Scary.

Here is what you could get while still staying cheap:

Coolermaster Centurion 5 Case ($50)
SeaSonic 430W PSU ($100)
MSI K8N Neo4-F Motherboard ($85)
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice ($140)
1GB (2x512) Corsair ValueSelect ($80)
Apollo GeForce 6600GT ($140)
Seagate Barracuda 120GB SATA HD ($90)

Total: $685 USD

IMO, this is a much better and reliable setup than the one you have posted. Also, as a rule of thumb, never go cheap on your power supply because you will regret it later. It's always better to spend a little more on a good PSU now and avoid problems down the road.

Case I may change but I really don't feel the need to your right a different power supply is need it just came free with the case. I wanted the 7800, 6600 are becoming to old to play the higher end games and I have no need for a 120GB HD I plan on puting very little on this comp and I could always get another HD down the road I might get a raptor and just put the OS on there an boot from that

Too late already did but it was only $20 but I may just return it and get a nice Case/PSU combo and recomendation? I already knew the PSU was bad but why does everyone say the case is bad?

Terrible air flow, poor build quality, looks ridiculous, it's junk in every sense of the word. When price is a concern I like InWin; here are few examples 1 & 2, others will recomend Antec.

For the PSU I would recommend something in the 350+ watt class. This Seasonic would do well.

The first case is not bad but kinda boring I like the way this one looks. I understand that I will be sacrificing build quality some for the price but what are you basing the bad air flow on?

Look at how restricted the rear exhaust fans are. That's an instant sign of cheapness and poor design.

For an extra 70 it comes with a MOBO but the MOBO which is SLI which I don't plan on using I would have gotten that one and tried to sell it except the market is flooded with them right now
