Speckles around cursor

My cursor has speckles around it, even after restarting they are still there. I tried updating to the latest driver (7.1.8.9) but they're still there... What could be causing this?
I have a Geforce 3 Ti 200.

pretty speckles?

i'm assuming you need a new video card...try that....or update all of your drivers on your computer

yeah, it happens with all resolutions...
It has been runnning fine for like a year then it started getting speckles around the mouse and has started to crash out of the blue. When it started crashing the blue screen said that "nv4_disp went into an infinite loop." It no longer shows that blue screen but still crashes every once in a while.
