My wife is going to LOVE this.

EDIT:

All - thanks for the posts, wasn't ready to go into details yet.

Anyway what I do is advanced IVR/Call Center/Unified Communications/Telephony/PBX/etc with 10+ years in the industry. Mostly I do custom development for those systems and have experience with IIS/Exchange/Mainframes/SOAP/XML/SQL/etc.

I will be more than happy to supply resumes if anyone has any suggestions.

New Edit 2.14.09

- Got a new job
- No longer unemployed
- Took a minor pay cut, nothing to worry about
- Have 5 weeks of severance left to double dip with
- Going to Mardi Gras

All turned out ok! There is hope. Took 3 weeks, but really only 1 week since I was on the payroll those first 2 weeks even though I wasn't allowed in the building.

What do you do? I'm in Atlanta and have a lot of business connections, not to mention we're hiring. I'd be happy to extend some introductions if it's fitting.

🙁 Sorry to hear. Hopefully we'll hear some good economic news soon so companies will begin hiring more. There are a lot of people hurting right now...

Added some info, just had to blast out a quick post to get it off my chest. And thanks for all the kind words.

Also no I don't work for MS or NetApp.

Newbian -

Pics of said wife?

If she is hot enough you could use them to pay for the rent for awhile

2 kids take their toll. Still beautiful to me though 🙂

I will tell you this right now.

You will have NO trouble finding a high paying job with those skills. Finding a good VoIP person with Exchange skills is very difficult and they demand a pretty penny.

This difference between your post being a good and a bad thing is the word "off" in your title.

BAN THE WORD "OFF" AND THE WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE

Neither version would go over well with his wife though.

"Dearest, I got laid at work today!"

"Dearest, I got laid off at work today!"
