(1) If its really about pregnancy doesn't that imply if the girl doesn't get pregnant the guys sentence should be reduced? :hmm:
no, not really. While I think the sentence would be different from pregnant/not pregnant, the reason for the double standard is that the potential consequences are, indeed, quite different. Therefore, the punishment would always be different. The purpose of punishment as it affects society is to act as a deterrent, no?
(2) What worse consequences. Worst case scenario the girl has to walk down to Planned Parenthood and take a couple of pills.
as if it's that "easy." Abortion isn't easy for anyone. And now you are saying an adult considering abortion is the same as a teenager considering abortion? Sure, whatever buddy. It's not like they suck out the cells and the woman is suddenly all happy to go about her way and plan on the next potential abortion. JFC....
so now she's a rapist? fwiw, I don't think if the situation is reversed, any should be considered a rapist. Consent is consent and again--that has nothing to do with the punishment. So what if he has to pay child support? now you're saying he is somehow further resolved of consequences for consenting in the first place? shit, now this is funny....Worse case for the guy is he now has a child out there that he has a hard time having contact with. Or worse he is forced to pay child support to his rapist.
(3) And I call BS on your reasoning anyway. The real reason there is a double standard is that father's want to protect the virtue of there precious flowers. And older women don't want to compete with teen girls.
hardly worth addressing. sounds like personal vendetta/reasoning that is not and can not be backed by any type of data or legal precedent. hence, it is not worthy of addressing in a legal argument.
