I am curious to know if there is a spec for pentium3. I did some research and found none, but a spec does exist for duron, but i want to be sure before buying :).

S for duron spec indicates 1.6v.
Spec

I'd like to know if there is the same for intel p3 ? I am interested of course in any ways to find a lower voltage consumption p3 !

hmmmm yes actualy intel are the ones with a spec sheet. Why would you want a p3 with lower voltage???? Get a cB0 or cA2 if you want the lower default voltage. cC0 chips have 1.7 default.

Well i want the lowest possible default voltage to overclock the cpu at the maximum (supposedly) so it can run cooler.

hmmm didnt know that cc0 had a higher voltage..

Which ones overclock the better ? cC0 cB0 cA2 ? I think i might only be able to get cC0 now in retail anyway ?

Although the cC0 stepping is by far the best for overclocking at the moment, it also comes with the highest default voltage of 1.70 volts. Although the other steppings have lower voltages, they will not overclock as far and in any case you would need to raise the voltage anyway.

Heat output will not make that much of a difference...only a few degrees either way. Just get the cC0 stepping....talk to compuwiz1 or bonkers325 if you want a pretested CPU that is guaranteed to reach a certain speed at a particular voltage here on the forums.

If you grab a cCO stepping chip it will run beyond the capabilities of your ram pci cards everything. I believe that Intel created this stepping to get them to 1.13 ghz on the p3. Bonkers or Compuwiz will probably tell you of many chips that they have sold/tested that will do 933@default voltage. Temperature is not an issue with a p3 especially if you get a cCO stepping chip most of them will run 933 with a golden orb. Get a cCO and you won't be sorry!! Just my 2 cents :)
