I am building a budget gaming computer which I would also like to be able to do some mild OCing to. I plan to order the stuff within the next week so any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. This is what i plan to get:
Motherboard: ABIT KV8 Pro I heard this is one of the better budget boards (I also thought about getting a Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR but it's out of stock right now at Newegg and ChiefValue.)
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000+ Socket 754
Heatsink: Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu
Video Card: Leadtek nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT
Power Supply: Tagan 480watt
Hard Drive: Seagate 80 GB Barracuda 7200RPM SATA with NCQ
RAM: Corsair Value Select 512MB DDR PC-3200 (might get 2x512 not sure yet if I will have the extra $55 or not)
NOTE: I already have a CoolerMaster Centurion 5 Case and a NEC 3520A DVD burner.
