UC Berkeley Taiwanese De-Cal

Some audio files from their student-run tutorial on it that'll give you some vocab at least

Props for trying to learn this language. Not too many people speak it anymore and it's a very hard language . . . for example Taiwanese has eight tones to Mandarin's five and there are lots of weird nasal consonants. Good luck!

Any other ATers out there fluent in Taiwanese?

me! although i havn't taken that decal, i've heard goodt things about it. Ask away, and I should be able to translate to Taiwanese. Overall, this language is extremely widespread in Taiwan, and you'd be hardpressed to find anyone incapable of speaking both Taiwanese and Mandarin.
