License or learners permit?

Me, I was 15 (You couldn't get a permit or license until you were 16 in those days in Missouri) and my sisters boy friend let me drive his 1964 Triumph TR-4.

Of course not ;)

Obviously it wasn't on a public road though...an old Fiat Uno, in sixth grade. Pretty much just took it down this road, then back.

Later on I actually started driving on public roads-backroads though, nothing paved. Drove a Suburban, another Fiat, bunch of Land Rovers and a Land Cruiser (one of the old ones).

Nope. I was about 7 or 8 years old the first time I took the TR-3 for a spin.

Heck no - I couldn't even reach the pedals :p My dad owned a lawn-equipment shop when I was little, and owned a big flat-bed pickup to haul stuff in. He'd work the pedals, and I would steer (with a little help, of course).

Other than that, yes, I probably was. Didn't get my license until I went to college.

I was 10 when I first drove my grandfather's pickup. Oh, and if you count backing the car out the driveway and then back in then I first drove when I was 6...

Nope. "Borrowed" my dad's Grand Marquis to get a pizza when I was 15.

Drove right past a cop waiting to ticket speeders on the way :Q. I almost soiled myself.

hmm .. a Car ... I was up Door County driving on county roads with my uncle back when I was 12 in 1992. My grandparents live up there, and we were visiting them.

Before that When I was 9 or 10 I was driving snomobiles in the winter up there, and driving a boat with a little 8 HP motor on it in the summer. Also, before I was licensed, I drove the little mopeds that go 30mph with my family, though I could go nearly as fast on a normal pedal bike (though not sustain it).

nope, I had to learn while I don't have a license yet.
even before going for an official test run or lessons.
so that I don't crash the vehicle into a tree or something. =)

I was 13 or 14. My younger brother and I had a Triumph TR10 station wagon that we ran in the back field, no muffler (neighbors loved that) and a busted starter. Had to hand crank it. Rollin' that thing was a blast, sh!t flyin' everywhere.
