Speakers

Hi, okay, I was at my aunts house and she was cleaning up her garage, in her garage there were these speakers, I asked if I could keep them she said sure.

Anyway, I want to attach them to my computer, but the speakers are the kinds that you attach to boomboxes, and they have the 2 wires and stuff, is it still possible to put it on my comp?

You will need an amp.
You hook up your soundcard to one of the inputs on your amp, and hook up the speakers to the output.

you can buy amps at an electronics store, places like best buy, radio shack, any place that sells speakers and stereos and stuff like that

yeah, buy a reciever, better price/performance than comp speaker...usually
i bought a dolby digital reciever and speakers so i can use one set of speakers for everything
verrrry happy
back on topic, you should be able to find a stereo reciever pretty cheap, most people are looking for surround in new recievers, and you can find a somewhat older stereo reciever that will sound decent reallly cheap
to hook your comp into the reciever, just get a stereo minijack to rca cable, can get one at best buy or radio shack for $3 (i have about 5 of the handy little bastards)
check the backs of the speakers for power ratings, and try to find an reciever in the right range so you don't blow your speakers in a nice intense deathmatch
