Okay, I have been looking to buy some speakers, I have some POS ones right now, I don't want to spend an inordimate amount of cash, I was looking at the Logitech x-5300, they have a 50 MIR making them around 75 or so, which is a great deal, well for Christmas, I got a couple Target gift cards...

has anyone ever heard of these? http://www.target.com/gp/detai...=1&asin=B0001DKJAM

They look pretty cool, I am sure the illumination would get hella annoying after a while, but I am sure it can be turned off. I searched around a bit, and was unable to find anything out about them...

Please help me or give me any other suggestions!

Do you mean the logitech Z-5300's or X-530's? The Z-5300's will blow those MAsonware speakers out of the water...If you can get those for $75.00 after rebates, please post a link as those would be by far your best bet for under $100.00.

I have the X-530's and they are decent gaming speakers. I don't watch dvd's with them. Check em out at new egg, $53.00. I've never heard of those Masonware speakers.

Umm... from a brief look, I saw a company I've never heard of and a speaker rating of 100 watts. Also, that sub looks to be about the size of a deck of cards.

Whatever you're planning on using those speakers for, I hope it's not going to be very loud or bass-intensive. They don't look like they could handle it. To be honest, I say save up some cash and get something else/better.

ha, that's what I was thinking, they would end up being light up pos speakers, the only reason I looked at them was becasue I get a 10% discount at Target (mom works there :p), and I got about 80$ in gift cards to there

the only problem is that the z-5300's are 190 at Target which is basically a rip off compared to other places...

I like the 5300's, they just might end up out of my price range... I was gunna buy the z-640's for $50~, I was just hoping I could end up with something better at Target with gift cards + discount...

The X-530 set seems to be good for on a budget--around the price of the Z-640, but newer and better. I have the 2.1 version (X-230) and they work great for music, especially for the $40 I paid for them (the 5.1s should be maybe around $70).
