On the back of my JVC stereo speakers I have a red/black and black/blue wires, so I figure there has to be some sort of an adapter to let you connect stereo to pc.

So is there a way to connect me stereo speakers to my pc?

I don't know what black and blue are doing (surround left and right?)

Adapter then run RCA cable to the receiver.

This is running to an amp/receiver for the speakers, and not unpowered speakers, right?

EDIT: reading OP over again I'm not sure what you're talking about...
Can you take a picture or something?

Black and Blue is the mainspeaker and Black and Red is the Subwoofer (Thats what it says on the back of the left speaker.)

So there are four wires coming out of each speaker?
What are on the ends of these wires? (are they bare wires?)

What are these normally plugged into?

I'm thinking these are usually powered by an amp or receiver, right? If so, you'll need to have the comptuer plugged into an input on this amp/receiver as they need to be powered by it.

So there are four wires coming out of each speaker? * Yea, Black/Blue, Black/Red

What are on the ends of these wires? (are they bare wires?) By bare you mean the copper is showing? Yes

What are these normally plugged into? Back of the Stereo, You clip the wires with the corresponding colors.

Ok, you're going to need to feed the computer signal as an input to that receiver then. Does it have normal RCA inputs on the back of it? (red and white)
If so, just use an adapter like I liked to above and run to one of the inputs on the receiver with RCA cable.

Wow, even my Dad's pioneer he got in Vietnam has a few inputs on the back.

Ok, Aux should work. It's two RCA inputs, right?

Just checking here... you have two speakers with 4 wires each for 8 wires total and they all plug into the back of the receiver, right?

EDIT: if you use the "quote" button on the bottom of my posts you can have it show what I said and then you can type responses below. It's easier to tell who is saying what.

*I dont know why my stereo doesnt have any, its brand new

*There is on AUX on the front, I cant find any RCA inputs, unless the "clippers" count.

Yea 2 speakers, two pairs of wire, 8 total, and are plugged in the back of the receiver(clippers).

Ok, I'm confused.

Do you have a model number on this thing so I could look at it, or could you take a picture of the front and back of it?

This it?

EDIT: site says it has "Source Aux Input (Front Mini Jack)"

So that's a 1/8" female jack, right?

You should be able to run a male/male 1/8" stereo cable from your computer to this and it then set the source to AUX and it should work. (unless I'm not understanding correctly)

Well, you know more than me, so I guess you are. So I can use the cables you gave the link to?, or can I use the White,Yellow,Red cables that I have around the house?

Sorry, no. Does the aux input look like the same type of port that your soundcard has as an output? (really small?)

I was thinking you had a basic stereo HT set, not a "boombox" sort of system.

I think a cable like this is what you need. Does it look like that would physically fit into the aux input on the front?

I guess. Does the other end go into the soundcard, because I dont think it will fit.

Well, I think 99.5% of the people on this board have 1/8" jacks on their soundcards so unless you have something strange then that's the kind of output you have.

What soundcard do you have?

Are you saying the output on your soundcard and the input on the JVC are different sizes?

This cable I linked to is the same size as your standard headphones connector size (not the huge kind for receivers). Do you have a pair of portable headphones around? If so, they should fit in both the soundcard output jack and the AUX input jack on the JVC.

I have a Asus A8V-E Deluxe and a Realtek AC97 Audio PCI, and my friend said, "your motherboard has onboard sound".

So I guess I have onboard.

Is your friend there? I'm sure he could tell you how to do this in like 5 seconds.

What have you been using up until this point? Do you have anything that fits in the onboard sound output from your motherboard? If you have something that does, make sure it fits into the input on your JVC too.

If it fits into the Aux input, then you just need something like this with two male ends.

My iPod headphones fit into the AUX and onboard soundports.

Good, then a male/male 1/8" cable should work. You'll also be able to plug in your ipod to the speakers with that too.
