Hello,
I'd like to upgrade my crappy $20 speakers on one of the PC's. Never really had anything better then $50 Altec Lansing older set on another PC (4 satellites and subwoofer), but used only with regular 2 channel PC output of Intel D850MVL on-board sound. I also purchased Logitech's 2 satellites/1 subwoofer set recently (don't remember the model number, I think Z-340), have it in another location.. the sound of this unit was OK but not great; but I used a crappy older ISA soundcard, what might've been the reason.
I recently built a box with new Intel 845PEBT2, which is supposed to have somehow decent audio build-in (I currently have plugged in mentioned $20 speakers)... would like to get something better; under $100 if possible; I generally don't listen music much (at least not from PC) , but I like to play games (flightsims & shooters etc.). Would like to utilize board's 6-channel audio as well, since I can imagine possible difference.... I don't need absolute high-fidelity, but I can distinguish bad vs. good sound
Thanks in advance for recommendations.
