I just got cable and whenever there is activity from the cable modem, it makes my speakers pop. The cable modem is hooked up through a USB hub. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks

What sound card have you got?

The problem is possably a IRQ conflict between USB hub and sound card, try moving the sound card slot

Do you by chance have a Toshiba PCX1100U Cable Modem?

If so, did you install the drivers for it off of the disc?

I strongly recommend most people using the Ethernet ports on all network products, unless you don't have a network card installed.

If you have a NIC (Newtork card), then use the Ethernet ports and you won't have that problem.

What OS and what mobo chipset? If the mobo chipset is VIA, try the USB Filter patch.

Check for conflicts between your sound card and video card and your sound card and USB controller. :)
