speakers are blown out on my for 1995 Ford Escort

All the speakers are messed up....the suspension has given out and they are torn...all four of them.

My Headunit is a clarion cd unit with (i think) 20w/ch x4, or maybe it's 40w..I'll have to check.

Anyways, I don't want to spend a lot of money on this but since I can't afford a better car right now and I drive a lot, I want to repalce them.

I'm not sure if I can afford all four though, and will probably do just the rears and turn off the fronts or something...

I am currently looking at these Pioneer TS-A1681R
for the rear.

I basically listen to everything from hip/hop to latin to whatever, so I want clean sound and not muddy bass etc....

anyone have any opinions?

Why not do the fronts now and rears later?

I thought it would get too expensive, but thinking about it, I found these Pioneer TS-G1641R for $50 and they have pretty good reviews for $50 speakers😀

Now the main issue is how to hook up my ipod. I'll have to look up my unit, but odds are ethat it does not have a line in of sorts. Also, if I am goign to be getting new speaks and such, I am not going to want to go the fm modulator router or, what I am making do with right now, a fm transmitter: IT SUCKS SSOOOOOOOO BAD.

I'll see if I can find a head unit that is cheap and good.

<---this coming from a guy who used to have alpine speakers in his old car and misses them dearly🙁🙁

I have a Pioneer headunit and bought the ipod adapter. Works beautifully.
