I just got the coolest little speakers and amplifier ever hooked up to my computer but the speakers are not shielded and make the monitor go crazy.

So question is... do unshielded speakers affect a flat panel in the same way or would a flat panel purchase solve this problem and allow me to put the speakers where I want them which is on either side of the monitor.
