So I have a 7.1 system, but for the sake of this discussion lets just pretend its 2.0 (because thats all that really matters). I have two polk monitor 70s. They're angled slightly towards me. Ever since I got them, I've always felt that the right side was fuller or something. I've switched the wires to see if I was crazy (which didn't help much because it's pretty subtle), measured and re measured the positions, messed with Audyssey, turned off/on any specific modes my avr has, but nothing seems to make a difference.

I just cant figure it out. I've made a nifty little diagram for you in paint, which might help: here it is. It's driving me nuts. I really dont think the left speaker is messed up, but I don't really know how to test it. Basically it sounds like the right side is louder and fuller, while the left side is a little quieter. But audyssey measured the distances and set the db at the exact same amount. Turning the left side up does seem to help, but not quite all the way. I guess it seems that the left side is not aimed exactly at me. But they're both positioned identically, so I dont know what to do. I guess it could be my ears, but if anything, my left side is a little bit stronger, so i dunno.

Any thoughts? Thanks all!

Is the right slide closer to the corner In I the room? That can make things seem boomy.

Speaker distance, room nulls and acoustics and speaker displacement could all affect these things.
