speaker stands

bought a set of z680's for my suite last year and wall mounted them (except for center channel) left the original metal stands in the box and one of my idiot suitemates took the box and the 4 stands, Logitech doesn?t offer replacements and I don?t want to drill holes in my new apartment so I am left with trying to get stands. Since I don?t have the little metal ones they won?t stand up straight so I am currently thinking of buying wooden stands and screwing the wall mounting pieces into them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

would the z680's mount to them? Details are sparce on how mounting works, and considering thier size i couldnt just screw the walmounts in, also because they are metal if the screw size on them is not right for the z680's (they use a metric size screw if i remember correctly) i cant realy drill though them.

so did anyone give these stands a go? i've been looking for a set or two for my z680s. not sure what will fit them. any other stands out there that someone can recommend?

i ended up buying these (sanus silver) from bestbuy. Mounting was a little tricky and running the wire through them was a pain in the neck but ultimatley they worked and price wasnt too bad.

i see, thanks for the info.

btw: i'm having sound issues with my setup. i was wondering if anybody's experienced something similar off the top of their heads & if they might have any clues/solutions:

sblive audigy 2 & z680's connected via digital coax

on the following settings, while watching a dvd or listening to music, sound only comes from:
- dts music - center + two speakers
- dts movie - center only

i followed the troubleshooting guide at creative.com to disable the onboard decoder for spdif passthrough and to make sure 5.1 surround was enabled but to no avail. has anybody else experienced this?

--- what do you think about these? how did you mount these? did the dual-bolt (the horizontal mount plate) work with these?
