Speaker/Soundcard question

I have the audigy 2 soundcard and klipsch promedia 5.1 speakers.
Right now when I'm playing music or video I'll hear static noise in the background.
It doesn't matter whether I use winamp, media player, or intervideo dvd player.
This happened to me before and I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the soundcard and the problem was gone for a little while (about 2 weeks)
Now the static noise is back, and I'm just wondering if this could be the problem with the speakers or the soundcard?
I would try the speakers with other soundcards but I don't have any other soundcard and there is no other computer here.

I know that a lot of klipsch pm5.1 speakers have died but I'm hooing that mine isn't dying. Both the speakers and the soundcard are still under warranty so I could RMA either one of them, but I just want to make sure I rma the right one.

So, what do you guys think? The soundcard? or the speakers? or maybe something else?

Thanks for reading guys :)

Try placing the card in another PCI slot, as far away from potentially interfering devices like modems, network cards etc....

Cheers
