Speaker/sound problems...

Here is a weird one for ya...

I had logitech z-560s..anytime i'd turn the volume up or down, i'd get static..and sometimes the right channel would go away. This would happen on both my audigy and my on-board sound, and even when disconnected!

So..I thought, bad speakers. I replaced them with Klipsch 4.1 promedias today..guess what, SAME problem! What could be causing this!?

Were you turning the volume up or down physically on the speakers or from some control panel in windows? Sometimes if you do it from in windows too high, such as with winamp, putting the equalizer bar all the way on the left beyond 10 decibels or so, it does that static when you raise it too high on the physical speakers.

Like I said, it doesn't matter if its even hooked up to the computer, they still do it.

Heh, got me 😕 I have an issue on my speakers with the same thing, 'cept it's the left channel that dies, and all i have to do is mess with the audio cable on the back of the main speaker that hooks up to the computer.

I know that for my speakers it's just my speakers as I've tried to replace the cable, but have you tried replacing your cable (stupid as it sounds)? Could just be bad luck and the other set of speakers you got have the same defect?
