Ok, so i've kinda asked this question before but I didn't get a great answer. When I shut down my computer with my speakers on there is a relatively loud noise that comes through my speakers. It sounds kind of like a capacitor discharging (like on a camera flash). I think it's relatively normal to have a little noise but I've only really noticed it recently. This one is relatively loud and is a high pitched ptewwww sound. I've had a little trouble with this motherboard so I'm really paranoid. Do you guys think there is cause for concern?
It's a Soyo Dragon+ with an onboard c-media 8738 chip. I'm using the daughtercard to connect some altec lansing avs 500 speakers in surround mode. Please let me know!

Thanks for your help!

Mine used to do that when I had a SB Live card. So just to make sure that there would be no problems I would always power up my speakers after post on start up and power down before shut down which is why I have them on their own surge suppressor to make shut down easier. Been fine for years.
