Speaker question/problem

I currently have a set of Jamo E680s in the front with a Polk CS10 center and Polk Monitor 30 rears. I've been told on here that I would be better off replacing the Jamos with a set of Monitor 60s to timbre-match the center. However on paper the Jamos appear to be better speakers. 2 x 8" woofers, a mid and a tweeter vs. 3 x 5 1/4" and a tweeter. Should I still swap out the Jamos with the Polks?

I'm also getting a lot of hissing out of my speakers. I used to be running a Jamo 5.1 satellite setup but recently replaced it with the Polks. Now the hissing is quite loud. My receiver is a Sony STR-DN1000. Any idea of what could be causing the hissing? The Jamo E680s are 6-ohm speakers, could that be the problem?

Any advice on these would be great.

timbre matching is important on front three. have you tried running the 30s as mains with the cs10?

I haven't. I mounted them as surrounds and only have time to watch something maybe twice a month.

troubleshooting requires some time... what source were you playing when you get hissing? Try unplugging all sources, turn receiver on and see if you can isolate hissing to a channel or is it all the speakers.
