speaker problem

my speakers sound like crap on a new computer. They sound fuzzy without music playing when the volume is barely up.

Does the problem do away if you plug them into something else? (cd player, etc.)

well i still hear it with headphones on if that means anything

Headphones plugged into the speakers or plugged into the soundcard directly?

Does the static go away when the headphones are plugged into the soundcard?

well i stopped the static not really sure how but i did. Now only the left speaker works which is wierd since the right speaker is the main one

Your problem may be that your volume is cranked all the way up. Since AMD's onboard sound isn't brilliant, when you push it to max, it sorta sucks.

Try turning down all of your sound levels in windows, then turning the sound up on the speakers.

See if that works.
