Speaker Cracking/Poping

Just recently my left front speaker has started poping when I move through web pages and when I skip through songs in Winamp. I have a set of Logitech Z560 speakers connected to a SB Live. What might be causing this? Could it be dust on the sound card causing the poping? I know there is a lot of dust in my system that I have not gotten around to clean out or is it something physically wrong with my speakers or sound card?

Edit: It only does it sometimes not all the time and I do not notice it when I am playing music constantly. It is only when a new audio stream is being started.

I have the same setup and i notice an occasional pop here and there when im not playing music and just surfing, although it doesnt seem as prevailent a problem for me as it does you...

One thing ive noticed is that it usually happens when my speaker volume (via knob on control pod) is fairly low, in between all the way down and a couple notches up, right before you can hear a hiss from the speakers in idle... Don't know why it does this but it does.

The volume of the pop increases when I turn up the volume. Also, I do not get the hissing on my Z560s that you speak of. I may just try out the onboard sound and see if that changes anything. But damnit, I don't want to reboot, I want uptime. 🙂
