SPCA CEO kills own dog

It seems like a plausible mistake, albeit one that reveals her to be absent minded and irresponsible.

You have to be borderline retarded to forget your animal in the car. Gee, it's been really quiet around here the last hour or so, and I'm not smelling that stink that's been around forever. I wonder what the difference is? Hmm...

lol at the "she didn't realize "Louie" was in the car until noon" excuse

someone had to let her dog into the car. this just screams negligence on her part.

Did you read the article? Her husband put the dog in the car. If it was a SUV, she may have not known that the dog was in the back. Obviously, a lack of communication between her and her husband.

Poor Louie

Yes, her husband did.

My parents left me at an ice cream stand when I was a kid... same reason.

Now why would you expect anyone to read the article before posting and condemning the lady? That'd be too responsible an action to consider for the majority of ATOT posters around here. Much easier and more fun just to post without knowing anything about the subject at all..... 😉

Too bad. Those people seem not to have mercy on others and love nothing more to curbstomp anyone that looks sideways at an animal.

Whom are you referring to as "those people" and why do you say they "seem to not have mercy on others?"

It's cool to hate on people who help animals. Didn't you get the memo?

I'm sure Louie agrees with you.

At least that what they told you when you caught up to them. 😛

you can bet your ass that if it was someone else in her situation, she'd be all over it

ya

Nah. SPCA is not PETA. They do good work trying to rescue abandoned dogs. They accept any dog you bring to their shelter (sometimes for a small fee) and then make a determination whether the dog can be rehomed within a period of time or is vicious and needs to be put down. They put dogs down when there's not enough shelter space; they are not a no-kill shelter.

Sounds like an accident and I bet the woman feels terrible. She's not a hypocrite though; SPCA has never placed themselves up on a pedestal and judged others. They leave that to the PETA crazies.

I wouldn't like to be her, her dog is dead and she will probably get all sorts of criticisms 🙁. SPCA seems like a good group, PETA are the badies who should just lock themselves in their own car.
