Spare computer

My uncle is giving me a computer at the end of the month, I think its a 2.4ghz celeron HP but that's all I remember.

I was jus wanting peoples suggestions on what I could use it for on a home network...I don't need a storage server, or anything like that.

I was thinking of setting it up as a gaming server.

thanks.

It's not really that bad of a computer. If it was me I would probably just give it to a relative. It would work good for browsing the web etc.

That's the thing, my athlon64 pc (im on now) does almost everything i need, so i dont know what im going to do with the 2.4ghz one :/

too much hassle selling it. ppl wont pay much for a celeron anyways. just keep it.

run a webserver for the heck of it, if u are even a bit interested.

put linux on it...to learn, its fun.

sell it locally to ur friends or someone...

Well you said you don't need a file server but redundancy on file servers is always good so if you already have one you could use it as back-up "in case $hit."
