"Un otro situacion es cuando ..."

I wrote a composition in my Spanish class and was told to use a different term for another besides un otro, but my searches online keep leading me back to otro.

Any ideas?

Thank you, but it actually turned out to be LoKe's response that I needed :)

LoKe: We bagheads have to contribute at some time or another ;)

Now you have Un otro, in that sentence. If you are planing on using "otra" you must use "En." Or nothing before it. I guess it all depends on the sentence or what your are trying to say. By looking at the one you have above, imho, should've been "...en otra situacion es cuando...." Or ...otra situatcion es cuando.

Just to articulate what he said, "otro" means both "other" and also "another"; so, "un otro" doesn't make sense in Spanish.

QFT. "Un otro" is incorrect, it should be just "otro."
