No,I've never used that software before . I wont attack you because you posted this in the hot deals forum,it needs to go in the software forum . As a junior member I too made mistakes concerning proper posting. I wont subject you to the hell of forum policy.Good luck and ..............later..............
 
I installed it saturday, its working VERY well so far. It's picking up some email as spam when it's not (emails from AE, Gap, etc) but it's easy to restore it and flag it as non-spam.

Great spam killer, and best of all, it's FREE
 
How do U flag email like:

12323@bullsh*t.com then next time they come out
32434@bullsh*t.com then when you block bullsh*t.com they come out
32434@second.bullsh*t.com :|

I even get email like

234234@aol.com

My way of prevention is to create 2 type of email. Junk and personal use email. And still my personal use get junk email, but not as much. My best is one of my Hotmail that only let ppl on my contact to send me email. It is annoying that I have to add them first before they can send me the email. O well.

How does this software knows which is spam and delete it?? How does it work?
 
Just installed it and it works well. I wish it worked on hotmail to get rid of all the crap there.
 
Spamnet is simply incredible. I, too, was a little ticked when they decided to start charging. (Beta users who don't upgrade can still use it for free.) But, you have to admit, their software WORKS. And by works, I don't mean it reduces spam, I mean it completely eliminates it. I've only had one message -- ever -- incorrectly flagged as spam.

I highly recommend you try it out.

Use a filter on hotmail or your E-mail to redirect everything that contains "bullsh*t" in the address to a junk folder. Hotmail will automatically delete that stuff every so often, and you can delete the contents of the junk folder in your e-mail program yourself.
 
I've tried both Spamnet and Spambayes, and found that Popfile + Outclass is the best combo for removing spam in Outlook. Spamnet doesnt seem to get all the spam, and Spambayes is just too buggy.

As of 5:00 PM PST, www.vargonsoft.com has been tottally down for a while. Is this a home brewed item from a non-professional ? or do you have the impression that there is some other reason the site is not accessible ?

spamassassin is one of the best ways to fight spam if you run your nix mail server....id be willing to be that i'm getting rough 98% success in filtering with SA.
 
weepul & Monty - What are the differences (if any) between the Spamnet free beta and the final version they charge $ for?
 
Do any of these spam clients delete the spam e -mails? I need me one of those. . .sick and tired of seeing the message icon in my outlook appear just to find it's stuff in my junk e - mail folder (I've actually been able to filter most of my spam myself successfully).
 
I've been using this Spamihilator proxy software now for about 40 hours. Very nice. Based on the same SpamAssassin engine as what I was using before (SAProxy) but this one is 100x easier to "teach" when it gets something wrong.

The best thing for me has been BellSouth's Mail Guard. It's automatically run on their server & stops spam before it gets to you. I rarely get spam 🙂
