There's a several spam thread by this user jeswaet in the Hot Deals section.

On that note, is it possible to add a tool in a thread itself that would alert the mod that the thread is a spam?

FuseTalk itself has the Alert a Moderator feature, but we have disabled it as it was abused by several members during our testing phase a few years ago. As far as I know we have no plans to re-enable this feature.

We ask that when a member find such an issue they simply send a PM to AnandTech Moderator and someone will take care of the issue as soon as possible.

Permit me to disagree. The abuse of that feature should never have been tolerated. The abusers should have been swiftly banned with little explanation. The other forums that have this feature - including TeS - really like it as it cuts down on 'work' for everyone and is much [much] faster than a PM.

I totally agree, if someone abuse it, they should be given a vacation. I also think having this feature would definitely make it faster and more efficient, despite the abuse. And you could also make the alert only for spam and nothing else.

If we had better control of the feature in FuseTalk I would agree with you guys, but unfortunately when FuseTalk rolled out this feature to AnandTech it was severely lacking.
