It seems the forums have been targeted by some company posting links to their site all over the different forums. Is there anything that be done to deter them?

We're trying. While the recent ones are spamming for the same 2 companies, they are posting from several different IP addresses which makes banning IPs difficult as many times there are legit members using some of the same providers and ranges. It's a work in progress. 🙂
