And I suppose you think the Spaniards didn't mind their government trying to place the blame on ETA?

That, along with the fact that, as had been previously stated, 90% of the population was against the war, but figured maybe there were stronger reasons to vote for PP rather than PSOE, and this simply tipped the balance.
If that's the case the bombing did indeed tip the balance in favor of PSOE, but the seed was planted when the government went against the will of 90% of the people they were elected to represent.

But in your world everything is black and white, right Ornery? With us or against us, and so on?
