Shrug, just about any vehicle that uses chemical fuel has the ability to kill your ass if all of said fuel is very quickly ignited. With a rocket the boom is just bigger and they are far less likely to find your body. On the plus side, death is almost assuredly instantaneous and there is a system in place to separate your ass from said fuel if things go wrong. It's not fool proof but it's something.
