Branson can just see the $'s rolling in. 🙂 $200,000/trip, he should do quite well. Then again, w/ his new Fox show, I'm sure he doesn't need any more publicitiy.

Ah, but remember, when commercial airline flights were first made available to the public, they were the perk of the elite as well. Now, you can fly just about anywhere for a reasonable price, and competition makes the pricing even more appealing.

This is just the beginning...

He's low enough that even if he dropped like a rock, he might live. 🙂 thus, it's official

this is very cool!!

I watched the show on Discovery last night called Dark Skies that is a documentary about this project. These guys are true pioneers!

They showed the clip when the FAA awarding the first ever Astronaught wings to a civilian pilot. very cool stuff.

So they win 10 millions dollars and get the rights to brag that they did it and hopefully build something for the future.

But 10 millions dollars, they probably spent more money building the project.

Sure they did, but $10mil isn't supposed to pay for the project, just motivation. Now they can sell the results of the project through such things as the Virgin Galatic service, and re-coup the costs.

Amazing... possibly the most important news of the year. And to think that there are 20 teams from six countries competing here... I hope the other teams will be able to find sponsors and finish their projects now. We need real heroes, not like those manufactured by the media companies, that we're bombarded with every day. Every one of the people involved in such projects is more beneficial for mankind than 1000 copies of Britney Spears or Ricky Martin.
