I still don't know what the point of it was. It may be faster to write but it's harder to read so it really doesn't make sense. My wife writes in nice cursive but I have to concentrate 10 times as hard to read what she wrote.

but somewhere in college i decided that it's better just to print and abbreviate the crap out of stuff
