pre-order beta now available, praise the emperor!

plays pretty damn well. i can't imagine how difficult this is going to be on max difficulty and friendly fire enabled. will be one hell of an experience though.

From what I've seen and played (the closed testing) it's 'okay'.

Most of the lore appears spot on (Redemption Bolter please take a seat outside) and some of the details inside the ship like dead Ad Mech personnel, purity seals with readable catechisms/litanies etc is a great touch.

But I don't feel that it is as good as Space Marine was. Sure, I know you're on a Space Hulk in mainly cramped conditions in Terminator Armour ... but the atmosphere doesn't grab me and smother me like AvP did or combat feel to flow like Space Marine did.

Sounds really disappoint with the Storm Bolter sounding less lethal than a 9mm pistol does in many games.

Graphically, aesthetically, detail-wise and lore-wise - They really have done a rather excellent job.

Feel, atmosphere and that certain thing that grabs you and doesn't let go in a great game... they're just not right or just not there for me.

And yes, I am actually currently reading Death of Integrity by Guy Haley.

Did anyone besides me pre-order, or is otherwise planning on buying launch day (friday)? I'd love to have 3 other people to do a full run-through of the campaign with!

release day is upon us, brothers! for the emperor!

I got to play for a few minutes. I'm a little bummed about no official controller support out of the box since I partly want to play on my hometheater setup. At least controllers do technically work, though you can't map them.

Right now it is absolutely optimized for KBM. I won't say don't try a controller, but you'll find yourself having to make workarounds to really enjoy it with a controller.

Never pay attention to the first month of reviews. Every game is filled with bugs and glitches and are (usually) fixed within the first three months. Look at NMS. There's some optimization issues people are reporting as well as some crashing. I don't know what can be done about the erratic FPS, but the crashing is likely to be fixed soon.

I hear the gameplay is not to bad (not spectacular) but the game seems to be pretty laggy, unoptimized is the big complaint i keep hearing over an over. I was going to buy it but am on fence now. Guess i wait 3 months and buy it for $15

The peformance of the game seems kind unoptimized.

Pretty common to have random fps drops, like this, CPU load is 12%, GPU load 55%...can't even break 30 fps -_-

I remember the the Spacehulk game that was released for the Amiga back in the 90's

There is a new remake of this (not sure if remake is correct) on STEAM, it works much like this game, hard as heck (like this game). I played this one quite a bit on my old AMIGA but for the New one is a bit more TURN based. Pretty close game, if not exact. Sorry forget the name.

I tried playing this game. It's clunky and was very easy to put down after 40 minutes. The "gameplay" is not that fun and there are many many other similar games out there with a much better feel, ui, and overall gameplay. If you are on the fence, I'd wait until it was $5 or less.

its just called space hulk.

bumpity bump

they've been rolling out quite a number of updates to the game. i did the campaign multiplayer and while it was fun, i think it would be a lot more fun to have 4 people all on voice chat together. if anyone wants to try some of the special mission maps, i'm game.

classes have been given a good bit more variety and weaponry. i will say that the game is hard AF even on "hard" with no FF. i don't think i've ever survived more than a few minutes on hardest and FF.
