WTH?? Are they charging different prices on Steam depending where you're connecting from?! This looks fishy to me...

EDIT: Read up a bit on the price issue. It seems Steam doesn't do any region pricing, however the publishers putting games on Steam do. That's why the prices on my steam are that much higher (just look at some titles... in the other screen the games go for 30$, where on mine they go for 60$...). This sucks so bad! :(

Hmm, $50 here, but that still seems a bit steep. I think I'll wait for a price drop.

maybe I am getting a discount :D- I've bought many games on steam over the years, they should offer me this game for free -it's only fair, doesn't matter if it's horrible.

Got it off Steam for $50. (UK release isnt for another week and I needed a fix)

Good game, very very basic. Makes Dungeon Siege look complex. I like the removal of an inventory actually, removes that hassle of "Is this 1d6+3 mace of destruction better than this 1d6+3 mace of devastation?" or the "oh another Cracked Sash" in the inventory.

Upgrades are just meh. Too generic. Oversimplified in too many areas.

Damned addictive though.

Beaten the game, and my opinion is similar to Elcs. It's WAY too simple and way too easy. Upgrades are completely linear, there's very little branching. The only real choice in customizing your character's stats are whether you decide to install cyborg parts or not. I played though the entire game without installing any of them, and it wasn't challenging at all. It's nice not having to sort through inventory every 2 minutes, but complete lack of it is also annoying. They should have made item drops/finds more logical and not just random drops, if they wanted to eliminate the inventory mule aspect. Three things stood out to me the most:

Incredibly stupid AI - It seems like the AI targets anyone who deals the highest DPS in real time. So, you can tag-team any colored monster with your HR-V having the enemy run back and forth by shoot-stop-shoot-stop pattern. This makes ANY melee enemy worthless.

Explosives are EVERYWHERE - Sure, it's nice and fun, and game tries to put some story behind them, but really? It's like the whole ship is rigged to explode. Barrels and canisters are everywhere. I've probably killed off 50% of my enemy by shooting at barrels. It's fun for first few traps and hour or so, but it gets ridiculous when it's for the entirety of the game.

HR-V is overpowered - Your robot buddy is simply over-powered. It only does moderate damage, but the icing on the cake is that you can get it up to max armor value very early on the game + its starts with the ability to heal 40% of health over 12 seconds (with only 15s cool down). As with any DS-like games, you need meat shields, but this one is way too strong. It also makes any traps/mines worthless, as you can simply send HR-V to clear the room/entrance first. If it receives damage, retreat while it does the uber heal.

Overall, very mediocre, and a bit less fun than previous two. I think the dev team didn't put too much thought in design and ideas.

Has anyone played Crusader: No Regret? It's an old game but I still preserve the original disc, I liked it better than Space Siege.

The plot felt so Disney to me. Anyone who has watched a recent Disney film may get the same feeling.

I am intrigued about the gentleman and his daughter, whom you see running around at a few points in the game. I did see them near the end but they arent explained.

The whole story was good, could have been much better if they really used it and didnt make the stages feel so short. The story moved extremely quickly and all of those "oh, I wonder what is going to happen next" thoughts were answered by the time you turned the corner.

HR-V was nuts. Razor described him well. Tactics in the game were non-existent if you buffed HR-V, sent him into the breach and spammed skills like drones/grenades etc.

Good game, not worth full price. They took Dunegon Siege, simplified it further and although pleasantly improved some aspects, in doing so they removed some aspects which reflected badly on the game.

Definately worth a go if you want an on-rails action RPG, Sci-Fi Hack'n'Slash style game for about 10 hours? Maybe a bit longer. Apparently up to 4 different endings I am hearing.

Is there an actual mutiplayer component to this game or is it just co-op? If there is multiplayer, would anyone care to comment on how good it is?

Thanks.

I thought this sucked.

Controls: Point and click with mouse
Camera: wsad for zoom and circle character

The above 2 completely ruin what may have been a decent 3ps/rpg. I might have even enjoyed it as fps.

I agree, I just finished playing the demo for the second time and I felt like they were trying to if a console game in to a PC platform.
