Meh, I won't have time to play this for another two weeks, but it's going into my queue of "things to try out"

Chopless for me. I had everything cranked up and it was as smooth as rich creamery butter.

I had it cranked as well. But the choppiness i speak off, is your character skipping back and forth and sometimes getting stuck

Nope, I never encountered that. Not sure what would cause it, sorry man.

Bleh. Pretty poor. Kind of like dungeon siege 2 dumb down - of course dungeon siege 2 was a pretty 'dumb down' game to begin with. I guess a lot of folks like games like that since they seem to sell well but I found it kind of boring and I suspect the full game will be a bit boring.

i loled when i picked up that cyborg machine gun. that gun is bleepin'-huge!
anyway, if there is no inventory, then does it mean no money and no stores, just use what you find? dont like that one bit.

but the physics were so cute! how the gas filled barrels fly when you hit them and stuff.

i hope its gets a little more RPG than action.

The term you are looking for is dumbed down used like a verb not a noun :p

I agree, Dungeon Siege II was a pretty limited and hand-held game, Space Siege looks like an action game not an RPG and if they don't put full co-op multiplayer in it (all I've heard about is a separate campaign, the dumbasses, it's probably 2 hours long) then I'll never buy it.

Developers need to embrace multiplayer, there are so much golden opportunities for multiplayer that are not taken for "story" reasons or whatever (we care about playing with buddies we could care less about the coherence of the story, just ignore the extra character for the story sequences). Gamers are not friend-less beings who like to play by themselves all day long.

I've installed it on both of my comps, but only played a couple minutes while doing an AH scan in WoW on my secondary one. It ran a little slow with most settings at high-max (22" WS monitor pushed by a 7900GS). Will need to give it another go on the otehr comp but looks like it could be a good death and destruction game.

The moving around was the strangest I have ever seen.

I uninstalled it after a few minutes, if it gets good reviews when it releases I might give the demo another shot to try and get used to the RTS like movement/shooting and then make my yay/nay decision.

Very short, though playing a dude with cybernetic arms and legs weilding a big mofo chaingun is fun! :)

- upgrades - check
- big guns - check
- cheesy character name - check

Should be fun! Will probably get it once it's released.

Ohh and it was running butter smooth, obviously.

Just played the demo through twice on maxxed settings @ 1920x1080. No slowdown (X2 6000+ 3hz, 4 Gb RAM, HD4870), looks good but it feels a little plain and generic graphically.

First play through, I went fully Cybernetic. Crazy firepower and was so easy it wasnt funny.

Second play through, fully human. I even upgraded my gun's RoF and Damage with those upgrade materials and the difference was night and day. Everything was the same until the final bit where the Cybernetic version of me totally owned and the Human version struggled a little.

I'll be picking this up... just wish it was downloadable.

Yeah I just finished the demo, it's kinda like a slower, prettier Alien Shooter Vengeance. (Which by the way was fun for what it is)

Definitely not going to be picking this up at full retail, not by a long-shot. This is one of those games you want to let hit the $29.99 or lower range for sure. But I like what I got in the demo, so I'll probably being coming back to this game in a few months once the price drops.

I tried setting everything to low, restarted the game several times, rebooted... nothing worked. I don't see my video card (X1950XT) being the problem as I haven't had any issues in the past, and I just got done with a few rounds of TF2 and a skirmish in Company of Heroes.

No one else is experiencing this?

If you're using Stock Heatsink then it IS the problem. I have x1900xtx and the stock heatsink = terrible, I switched to the HR03GT and now it'z spectacular and can hit 745mhz

It wasn't heat. I've been downloading the latest drivers but apparently I've been forgetting to install them. Slap to the head. :D

So, is anyone playing the retail version yet? Dungeon Siege 1 was a lot of fun so I'm hoping this will be good too.

I have a question, do characters open their mouths when they speak? or is it the same as DS2?

From what I can remember, it's static animation during the intercom messages and no mouth movement from speaking.

Just try out the demo, it will give you a real good feel of how the game feels like. I hate to say that it really feels like a 100% console ready game and if they decide to port this, they could probably knock it out in a day.

Still fun for what it is though.

60$ on Steam?! /pass for me then

The game demo was ok, but not enough to warrant such a cost.
