I did a search and haven't seen any discussion on Space Rangers 2 on here, so I just thought I'd share with you guys and spread the news...

I stumbled upon this game through a great game blog (http://dubiousquality.blogspot.com/), there is also a great thread about it over at www.quartertothree.com forum.

I had to buy it at http://www.gogamer.com because nothing locally carried it - and so far it's a great game.

Give it a look and if you have any tips/hints, please share!
 
yeah it does sound really good, i've been eyeing it for a while now. What is it like? MOO2? Privateer? Elite?

That's just it - it's a little bit of everything! MOO2, Stars!, Spaceward Ho!, Privateer, Command and Conquer, even a little bit of the text-based Infocom stuff.... Just read through the long thread linked in my original post at quartertothree.com for some of the crazy depth this game has... Granted, the RTS portion of the game feels a little 'tacked-on', but it's decent, and is completely optional...

I can't wait to get some serious hours in on this game...
 
that's funny that you mention that blog, because I read that one day and saw the same review for this game and was thinking of going out and looking for it based on that opinion.... i'm glad to hear that another person has found it and likes it as well =)

I got it for $39 + shipping (roughly $44 total) from gogamer... I've heard that Fry's may have it as well, but we don't have them were I live...
